David Elkind, Perseus Publishing, 2001This book discusses the importance of recognizing the stresses that contemporary society places on our children and why we as parents and educators must “push back” on behalf of our children and their development. Elkind is also a prolific and persuasive writer on the importance of play in the development of thinking among preschoolers and early elementary students.
