Originally from Auburn California, Shanti has been a Coloradoan since she moved here in 1998. Shanti owned a construction company when she first moved to Colorado and won the parade of homes in Erie Colorado. In 2006, Shanti began working at St Vrain Valley School District, where she remained for 12 years. In 2018 Shanti left SVVSD to pursue her wild idea to buy an automotive repair shop in Longmont.
Thinking it would be “fun” to have 2 careers at once, Shanti also worked at The Bridge, a senior living community, from 2018 until 2022, when she decided to work full time at her automotive repair shop with her husband – “it was absolutely the best time of her life.”
Shanti is so excited to come back full circle to her love of working with children. Shanti has (3) adult kids, Her oldest daughter Ashlee is a special needs therapist and lives in Longmont, her son Eric just graduated with a bachelor’s degree in business and lives in Carson City Nevada, and her youngest daughter Shelby lives in Longmont and is a preschool teacher. Shanti has four amazing grandsons (and is still waiting on a granddaughter.)
Shanti loves experimenting with her new Traeger smoker making crazy flavors, and paddle boarding with her Miniature English Bull Terrier Daisy May at Union Reservoir. Shanti lives in Longmont and currently cares for her elderly mother Colby who loves to remind Shanti how she likes her food cooked. It’s like an episode of Masterchef every night.
